Semantics first
Using the right element for the job gives us keyboard support, screen-reader labels, and focus handling for free. Most accessibility wins come from not fighting the platform in the first place.
Contrast is non-negotiable
Low-contrast text looks elegant in a mockup and disappears in sunlight. We hold every colour pairing to a measurable standard so the interface stays readable for real people in real conditions.
Test with the keyboard
If a feature cannot be used without a mouse, it is broken for a meaningful slice of users. A keyboard pass on every flow catches the gaps automated tools miss.
